THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Thanks to your symbolic adoption of this tiger, we can protect this animal and its environment even better.

Dearest colleagues,

This Christmas, we decided to embrace the spirit of giving by supporting the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

We have chosen a specific form of support through the purchase of an adoption package! This way we support three remarkable animal species: the panda, polar bear, and tiger.

As an organization that holds sustainability in high regard, we believe this donation will have a positive impact on preserving our planet.

As a sign of this donation, this year each employee will receive an adoption package, containing a stuffed animal and information about the specie it supports.

Moreover, the box itself can be transformed into postcards, so nothing will be wasted.

Let's all make a difference together and create a more sustainable future!

A big thank you to everyone for 2023, and we look forward to continuing together in the new year!

Calzedonia BENELUX

In the booklet you can read why your help is so important and how together we can care for nature and its inhabitants.

On this page you can read the English translation of the text in the booklet.

IT'S NOW OR NEVER

A wild boar is rooting in the ground looking for something tasty. The animal does not yet know that it has just become prey itself. Because a little further on a tigress has laid down in the bushes.

The big cat hasn't caught anything for two days. Her cubs are hungry. For the first time today they remain calm. Their mouths are watering.

Every time the boar isn't looking, the tigress comes a little closer. Step by step, as quietly as possible. She can smell her prey so well now! She narrows her eyes and then... suddenly a bird flies up! The wild boar is startled and runs away. For the tigress it is now or never.

AN ENDANGERED SPECIES

Building houses, plantations and factories has left very little room for the tiger. That is why people and tigers encounter each other more often. That sometimes goes wrong, because farmers don't want their animals to be eaten. And in Asia, people also use tiger body parts as medicine.

WHAT DOES WWF DO?

In 2010, the World Wildlife Fund agreed with all countries where tigers live in the wild to double the number of tigers by 2022. Since then, the number of tigers in the wild has increased for the first time in a long time!

This success is partly due to special surveillance teams that arrest poachers. WWF provides their materials and training.

We also support organizations that track down plant and animal smugglers and thus combat the illegal tiger trade.

With your help we can continue!

GLOBAL GOALS

WWF has set seven important goals for a world where people and nature live in harmony.

Do you want to know how you can contribute to achieving these goals? Then view our practical tips wwf.nl/tips-voor-jou (Dutch only)

  • 1

Reduce greenhouse gases by 40 percent

  • 2

Halve the impact of our food system

  • 3

    Keeping rivers clean and flowing

  • 4

    Stop deforestation

  • 5

    Double down on sustainable fishing

  • 6

Stop illegal trade in animals and plants

  • 7

Protect 30 percent of the land and sea

TAKE ACTION

There are fewer and fewer fish, birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles in the world. Their habitat is rapidly being destroyed by agriculture and infrastructure. Hunting and poaching, overfishing, environmental pollution and climate change are also major threats. Tigeres also suffer from this.

Fortunately, there is also good news, because we can reverse this situation within 10 years. But then everyone has to contribute in his or her own way.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

If we take good care of nature together, nature will take good care of us.

Do you want to know what impact your personal lifestyle has on our planet? Or are you curious about what you can do to reduce it? Then go to our website and take action!

I WISH YOU A BEAUTIFUL WORLD

A world that we can enjoy together for a long time to come. A world that we must fight for together, for nature and preserve the animals.

With this Send a Wish adoption package you can spread this message in a positive way among friends and family.

After unpacking the box, carefully cut out the different postcards on the indicated cutting lines. And you are ready to send beautiful wishes.

BE ONE WITH NATURE

If you take good care of nature, you also take good care of yourself.

For us, nature is not opposed to humans, but we are an inseparable part of it. We love plants, animals and people in all their diversity.

We are nature!

The booklet in the WWF adoption package is made of elephant grass. That plant grows in the Netherlands and is very environmentally friendly.
